I was dreading going back to work after Christmas. All of the Instagram posts the weekend before about how to cope with the dread by indulging in after Christmas sales were not helping. Even the thought of my gremlins going back to school was not helping. The new skirt I bought from Topshop was not helping. I made it through my first day, more so relieved that I came out of it alive, and ran home into hiding. The next day, feeling a bit more brave, I wore the new Topshop skirt and a pair of Lanvin ballet flats, threw my office heels in my bag and literally went running downstairs. It was spectacular. I missed the last 4 stairs and landed at the bottom. Always prepared for any situation, the extra padding I added to my hams over Christmas were the key to my skeletal preservation. The new skirt will have to postpone its debut until another day while I recuperate with Making A Murderer.
